Texture 2022 Wendling Vineyard Pinot Noir

Texture 2022 Wendling Vineyard Pinot Noir

This harmonious blend of multiple heritage Pinot Noir clones, including 828, 943, and Pommard speaks to the site's complexity, with each clone contributing unique layers to the final wine. Our privileged access to the southeast-facing block at Wendling continues to yield fruit of singular distinction, and the measured use of new French oak provides an elegant framework for the wine's natural grace.

Winemaker Notes

Wendling has been recognized by winemakers and critics alike as one of the great Pinot sites of Coastal California. Developed and farmed by the most accomplished grower in the region, Paul Ardzrooni, this is as close to the Pacific Ocean as Pinot can grow and ripen in Anderson Valley. The structure of the Pinots that are made from here give collectors the unique option of long term cellaring.
