French for “blend,” the word “mélange” represents a harmony of grape varieties. Mélange Blanc combines four grapes that are obscure to many California wine drinkers, though they are staples in France’s Southern Rhône Valley. This compelling quartet of Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc produces exotic aromatics and a rich mouthfeel framed by precise acidity and alluring minerality indicative of the rocky volcanic soil where it thrives.

The art of blending without constraints is on display with the Mélange Blanc. A non-traditional combination of Northern and Southern Rhône varieties playing off each other to create a sum that is unquestionably greater and more delicious than the parts.
