Our blend of Grenache, Mourvédre and Syrah is a respectful nod to the celebrated bottlings of Château de Beaucastel. The bright, rich fruit and acidity of Grenache took center stage in 2019. As in the Southern Rhône Valley, Mourvédre is also Grenache’s natural counterpoint at Moon Mountain Vineyard. Within Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where blending is prevalent, Mourvédre is highly prized, its savory and dense character complemented by alluring aromatics. A finishing touch of Syrah binds them together. The resulting blend and offers an intriguing Sonoma interpretation of these ancient viticultural companions.
