Winemaker Notes
Petit Verdot is planted on the hottest spot of Moon Mountain Vineyard, nestled up against the base of the sheer cliff below the Feather Blocks. The prodigious tannins of Petit Verdot soften just enough in these growing conditions to reveal its unicorn status as a complete, luscious expression of a variety that is almost exclusively cast as a tertiary blending component in a blend rather than the star of a single-varietal wine.
